I followed the recipe almost exactly, the only exception is I used Organic Coconut Oil over Canola Oil (as called for in the recipe) Came out so incredibly good, who would have thought of chickpeas as dessert? I mean the thought of it is downright funny. We always have them in the house, because one of my favorite things to whip up as a snack is hummus, but never thought of this; genius. It’s a flourless dessert, perfect for quite a few dietary restrictions. I would definitely consider this a vegan dessert as well.
We originally tried it by itself, but then had it warm with ice cream – wow, what an indulgence without as much of the guilt! LOL
